Dorm Wall Decorating Ideas

Does sidewalk chalk come off of walls?

My roommate and I were reading up on decorating ideas for our dorm room and we saw an article that suggested drawing on the walls with sidewalk chalk. We both thought it was a cool idea, but we were wondering if the chalk would actually come off of the wall or if it would stain. Has anyone had any experience with chalk and plain white walls?

Try this in a hidden corner before you go the whole nine yards. Get one of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, and try chalking, and then wiping it off. I've never known chalk to stain in the first place (As it's a powder and not a liquid or semisolid, like oil is a liquid and soot/grime is a semisolid usually) , so you might just be able to use a paper towel.
