What kind of locked safe would you recommend for a college dorm room?

This fall I will be heading off to college and I was wondering what kind of safe to get to store my items safely in a small dorm room.

I haven't lived in a dorm since the early 1970's but I found that a hasp and pad lock on my refrigerator protected my most valued beer. Otherwise small safes aren't very safe since they are light and easy to carry away. There are many available in different sizes, I would look for one with a security cable or bolt to attach it to furniture or the floor.

Bedroom Furniture For Your First College Dorm

Are you going away to college? Do you need to choose bedroom furniture set that will meet your budget, your needs and your style? The dorm room is your home away from home and you want it to look and feel good but the problem that most students face is that they simply don't have the money for elaborate decorating. The first thing you want to look at is your bedding. After all, you are going to need your sleep to keep up with classes. Another way to add to your bedroom decorating is with wall hangings and plastic hooks that can be used for jackets, robes or even backpacks. Remember that small tables can double as computer work areas or a spot for your TV. Build around your bedroom furniture and create a dorm room that is both functional and stylish. Your college days will be much more enjoyable when you are happy in the room you are in.
